Family Friday- Pancake Edition (YUM)

I’ve had a hard time sticking with a topic or theme as I blog through the next 40 days. I have way too big of commitment issues to choose just one. Some days I feel sappy, some days I feel empowered, some days I want to share ideas and tips, some days I want to be silly. I really just can’t commit. But Fridays, Fridays are family day here in the Tenney house and I think it is a GREAT idea for my writings on Friday to be Family friendly!

Part of my resolution during this season of my life is to be a better mom and that entails a list of things I want to work on. One of them being cooking. Cooking is the one area of being mom and wife that I feel like I fail TERRIBLY at.

Reality- I hate to cook. I hate everything about it.

BUT, there is redemption. I love to make breakfast and I have the best homemade pancake recipe. My girls love pancakes any time of the day and I don’t mind making them because it is simple. I like to have fun with it and try different things. So today on this fabulously freezing Friday I thought I would share with you our recipe and a Pinterest board full of fun pancake ideas that your kids will LOVE!!!

and here is our recipe (we almost ALWAYS double the batch)

Ingredients:
1 cup of flour
3 TBS of Sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 TBS baking powder
1 TBS vegetable oil
1 EGG
1 cup of milk

No need to separate or dirty extra bowls! Just Mix it all together and cook your pancakes.
I find they do cook best on a griddle or a raclette. They cook more evenly and you can serve more of your family at a time!

Do you have a FAV recipe you would share with us? Yes, cooking is going to become a thing around here.
Happy Friday!
